Rejuvenation around the corner!
Last year the young adults of First Farragut traveled to Legacy Mountain Resort in the Smoky Mountains for a summer weekend retreat. We stayed in an amazing 12 bedroom 12 bathroom luxury cabin…and this year we are going back! Only this year we are going to be up there during the fall and the weather is going to be AMAZING, definitely a huge part of the blessing of restful time away. This year my father, Steve Aronowitz, is flying in from Northwest Houston to be our guest speaker. He is going to lead 3 “Living Room” sessions with some break-out time alloted for personal reflection, prayer, reading, and journaling. I have wanted to do some hands on ministry with my DAD for a number of years now and I’m really pumped for him to get out here. My desire this year with our fall retreat for our 20’s and 30’s was that I could just focus on the hosting side of the event. I do so much teaching during the course of the year I thought it would be great to step aside and allow a fresh voice and perspective to challenge and encourage us! My dad is going to do a great job.
Special shout out today to Molly Veness, who alongside of me as my event coordinator, has done a fantastic job helping me to prepare to host our second REJUVENATION. I would like to ask you all to pray today as we make final preparations for our weekend away. 15 people will step into the Smoky Mountain Lap of Luxury to decompress, relax, rejuvenate, and re-charge their spiritual batteries. God has something great in store for our group…I can’t wait to experience it next weekend.
Have a great Wednesday. High School youth from First Farragut, Mocha’s with Mark @ Starbucks in Turkey Creek at 4pm today. All youth, we have WNL Youth Bible Study on the Hill tonight from 6:30pm-7:15pm. Be there!
