Greatest Catch Ever! What would you do to catch it?
Before I get started this morning I wanted to thank you all for giving MARKARONOWITZ.COM its BEST MONTH EVER. Over 1,200 hits this month! It has been a lot of fun to get back into the swing of things with the blog during the month of August. This time of the year is full and exciting! There is so much going on and so much to talk about!
Check out the catch made below in the video before you move on. When I saw this catch on sportscenter I about dropped my coffee! AMAZING. This guy made sure that he caught the ball NO MATTER WHAT. And while everyone else was so surprised and amazed, he did exactly what he planned on doing when he climbed up the wall!
The fall season is so busy and so crazy. We talked on Sunday night at UMYF about times in our lives when we are most tired. We read in Mathew 11:28-30 these words from the Message, “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me-watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”
Powerful words….amazing words! We get so caught up in the hustle and bustle of the fall schedule that we get ourselves tired. We over-extend ourselves and we soon realize that we are leaving Jesus out. We need to say yes to opportunities to experience him in new ways. We need to be willing to do anything at all costs to catch the reality of a relationship with Jesus Christ in our lives! What do you need to do right now to re-capture and to catch the power of the Gospel in your life? Is it plugging into Sunday School? Do you need to join a small group? Do you need to re-connect with friends who are pursuing Christ? Do you need a spiritual retreat? Or perhaps you need to re-connect with God ONE-ON-ONE in your own time, maybe when you wake up in the morning or before you go to bed at night.
Whatever you do today, don’t let the day go by without doing what you need to do to find Jesus as a part of your day, as a part of your life, as a part of your family’s life. Sometimes we need to stop staring at the Gospel flying over our heads and jump up to catch it! Have a great Tuesday!
