Missed the blogging!
Becca and I had a nice week of spring break. I missed talking with you all! Over the course of the last 7 days I played 2 rounds of golf (PRAISE THE LORD!), went to Whitestone Inn with Becca for a couple of nights of quiet (was amazing), we organized the house (garage, rooms that had fallen apart over the winter months), and just relaxed around the house. We enjoyed a couple of nice backyard fires with the dogs relaxing under the stars. A couple of games of scrabble mid-week (I got smoked) and as much good eating as possible! God was good to us last week. I’m thankful for the break from the routine and for some time with my wife. We are in the final push to summer-break and are excited about what God continues to do in our lives here at First Farragut and North Middle School!
The youth group last night looked at verses in Hebrews 12 and Revelations 3 in talking about FINISHING THE SCHOOL YEAR STRONG. Yes, we are excited about the summer and are tired of school. But God still has a plan for us RIGHT HERE and RIGHT NOW. We’ve got to pursue him with everything that we have today! So go find him in a new way on this beautiful Monday in April!
Special shout out to my brother-in-law Caleb today who is celebrating his 28th birthday in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Caleb is attending Divinity School at Wake Forest. He and his wife Carrie are a very special part of our lives. We are thankful for the relationships that we share. Happy Birthday Cabe!
