THE JOURNEY

One quarter of a century. The journey that I have been on extends twenty-five years, five states, and all kinds of ups and downs. As a child of God, a husband, a son, a brother, and a friend…I am still learning what it means to walk with my Savior 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. I love the place that the Lord has me with my beautiful bride Becca (of just over a year) in the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee as a youth pastor. I am excited to share that journey with you all through my new blog. I am fascinated by peoples stories and peoples lives. I believe that everyone has been given a story to tell through their own life journey.  I am looking forward to sharing my twenty-five year and counting journey with each and every one of you. My heart is heavy with a hunger for Christ, with a desire to grow in the man that I am being molded into with each passing day. Life circumstances teach us so much. They cause us to grow.  Autumn is falling on the smokies.  Change is happening all around us.   As a new season falls here in the mountains, I pray that wherever you are you can find time to be still. I pray that you find time to enjoy a warm cup of coffee curled up in the arms of the one who created you. I pray that you can find time to think about your journey. I pray that no matter what you are going through you would be able to grow. I was challenged with that one word, “grow” by my father about 9 years ago, and its all that I have been trying to do ever since.  To those who have impacted my journey…thank you.  To those who are in it with me now…stay with me.  To those who need encouragement…look up.  Know today that the God who created you desires more than ever before to have your attention.  Can He have it?  Will you give it?  Will you trust?  A cool autumn breeze might hold the answers.
